I was hired into the fabrication division to support quality control, planning, training, safety, and project management processes. My role evolved into Special Project Manager to spearhead the procurement, installation, and implementation of robotic welding cell. I am proud to have:❖Identified opportunity and proposed robotic welding cell solution that transformed the fabrication program for a global manufacturing client. Built automation program from the ground up to standardize workflow, improve safety, reduce raw material and labor costs, enable accurate resource forecasting, and improve quality. Key outcomes:→ +44% Throughput → -60% Costs → -80% Rework❖Programmed robot for 7 unique part numbers that were historically done manually. Selected and trained operator.

Western Washington And Alaska

I drove sales growth and market share of the company’s products with distribution partners in the welding and manufacturing industries. I worked directly with end users to evaluate current processes, resources, and objectives and recommend solutions to improve operations and workflows. Among my achievements: ❖Grew sales 24%—from $4.9 million to $6.1 million in sales—in Alaska and Western Washington territory.❖Landed major deal with the region’s largest welding distributor, representing the first time in company history that the distributor stocked an ESAB welding machine.❖Improved relationships with distributors by establishing company’s products as a viable solution to their customers’ challenges. Notably, initiated relationship with major government shipyard, which ultimately matured into the purchase of multiple capital investments valued at millions of dollars in sales.

I delivered technical engineering guidance and support to Naval Engineering Support Unit. I identified project issues and recommended solutions. I oversaw equipment repair and maintenance, including measuring instruments and undertaking diverse engineering services. Past successes:❖Key authority in implementing quality assurance program encompassing qualified fitters, certified welders, and work packages that comprised weld procedure specifications and engineering support.❖Instrumental in improving efficiency, cost savings, and safety measures by modernizing outdated equipment, streamlining supply sources and reducing inventory, slashing repair-cycle times and reject rates, and resolving potential safety issues.❖Served as subject matter expert and advised committee tasked with developing Nationwide Welder Qualification and Weld Inspection Program for Coast Guard.

Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery Maine

Assigned trade related maintenance and repair of Department of Defense nuclear assets globally. I was promoted from Apprentice Welder to drive extremely challenging repairs under strictest control measures and highest standards within a small, highly proficient team of Nuclear Pipe Welders. I served as Hull Patch Team Member and was qualified to conduct first-level visual inspections. I was also selected to assist in developing advanced / experimental-welding techniques, get them qualified, and then train others to execute these new processes successfully. ❖I was acknowledged as “Consistent Top Performer.” ❖Hired as one of 40 apprentice welders (out of 700+ applicants) and completed 4-year apprenticeship in 2 years. ❖ Selected among 230 welders to join 20-member team managing mission-critical complex repairs to Department of Defence and Department of Energy standards.

Managed daily project activities and safety of ironworking Crew to deliver comprehensive SMAW overhead welding repairs for bridge-repair company despite extreme heights and weather. Completed bridge-repair company’s largest project—on time, under budget, and to specifications, attaining zero-incident safety record.
