Presently deeply involved with nuclear decommissioning, reporting directly to the managing Director of Westlakes Engineering. My present role includes CS&A Engineering Manager for the demolition of the Calder Hall Atomic Power Station. Involved in many other projects too, some more light hearted (the annual inspection of the Egremont Crab Fair Greasy Pole)My background is over forty years of experience in the construction industry, both as a Consultant and a Contractor, involving the design, construction, inspection and appraisal of structures and civil engineering projects. This experience encompasses the analysis of materials and techniques from the 18th Century to the present and the design of a range of modern structures.My duties have included leading the Civil & Structural design teams and liaising with Clients, Project Managers, Architects, Contractors and other construction professionals.
