Whilst working with Approach Personnel my initial job was as a recruiter.This consisted of me working in aid of a recruitment consultant, helping fill jobs, post adverts and servicing candidates and clients.After working a short 2 months, my manager made the decision to give me the opportunity to manage a large client in the construction sector. I accepted the new challenge as this gave me an opportunity to learn new skills and really start to excell in my job. My new role consisted of me negotiating new set rates, managing and recording the amount of business going through us, organising and managing a rebate and general job filling and servicing of all candidates. When i left the company this client had become our largest and most profitable client.

During my time working in the Regional Recruitment Team for the Mercian Regiment i had very similar responsibilities as that of a recruitment consultant in a conventional recruitment firm.My day to day responsibilities included the sourcing and interviewing of suitable candidates including the management of their paperwork and compliance. We would also have to set up stands in local areas advertising our available positions and inviting people to come into the office for a confidential chat.

A high level of Shooting skills and map reading were essential, also the ability to complete orders to a high standard in a timely fashion. Daily fitness session were also a large part of my job as to stay fit and robust for the tasks ahead.
