Port approximately 400 VBA macros used by the AUS Ops business which were used for screen scraping purposes using the Attachmate EXTRA! 6.5 Terminal Emulator to a new Terminal Emulator called PASSPORT PCToHOST created by Zephyr (ROCKET). The task was to review and alter Attachmate Extra specific code and migrate the code to work for the PASSPORT PC TO HOST Terminal Emulator. The reason for this was a Windows 7 Upgrade was due to be rolled out across the bank and this new emulator had the same look and feel as Attachmate with a significant cost benefit. The macros were contained within Excel and Access with a small group of these macros having been created using the Attachmate Extra Basic Macro language which is quite similar to VBA though is not as strict in the enforcement of coding rules. The Attachmate EBM macros were migrated to the Passport equivalent using either ZAM or ZMC file extensions; this language adheres much more strictly with the VBA language rules of coding.Approximately 400 macros needed to be migrated to work with the new terminal Emulator. Once the migration of the code was complete then this role altered to be a support role during the UAT and Implementation phases. This part of the role required good communication skills and the ability to gain a good rapport with the people being dealt with.

Involved in Migrating ANZ International countries from one banking system to another. Created an ETL tool which enabled a semi automated approach which covered not only cleansing and remapping of data as well as a data capture tool to capture missing data. Tools used for these migrations was MS Access / VBA / Oracle PL/SQL and Cobol analysis skills.

ANZ needed to customise a Retail Banking product from FNS, written in Cobol on a Unix platform using Oracle as the DBMS, this application had to suit up to 16 different countries in an attempt to standardise processing within all of these countries. They needed to develop an ATM Interface that translated Interlink’s Sparrow/Hawk ATM Controller messages into the message format used by the FNS banking system. I was responsible to after hours support and implementation of this newly developed interface.
