Currently managing the Digital Channel portfolio of Data Warehouse projects at the Commonwealth Bank.

Peter managed the Design and Delivery phases, across multiple releases, of the Sales and Content components for the new Westpac Online Banking application. Prior to this, Peter managed the Payments functional area. The scope of the program is to replace a dated, first-generation online platform with a simple, leading edge, modular system with a target of high customer advocacy.Peter’s charter was to drive the solutioning of ~300 Business requirements via an iterative Design approach. The effort spans all facets of work-stream delivery from the Financial package to Integration, Data Migration, Change Management, Operations and Test. The Program complexity stems not just from the integration of the Financial (Fiserv/Voyager) package but also due to: A new Integration Layer; new Back-end applications; modified back-end Legacy systems; and the integration to a new Enterprise Security system.

Peter managed Major Releases at VHA. A Major release is one where there are multiple large projects, multiple/complicated integration points, full application package drops and are characterised by multiple vendors. At VHA there are typically 4 Major releases a year, of which Peter would manage 2. There is substantial Business focus on these releases as they involve major functional change and often target improvement in Customer Satisfaction. This task involves management of schedule, budget and scope at a Release level. Projects still function/manage from a standalone perspective, but are managed by Peter across common aspects. The key components are Infrastructure deployment/management, Common vendor code bases, Systems Integration test, Environment management, Interaction with other Projects/Program implementations and of course, the Release Deployment itself.

Managed the development of a generic VISA Portal for the Department of Immigration. The system is complex, integrating with 25 other DIAC Legacy applications It is a $21M project operating within tight government deadlines. In this role Peter managed a team of 120 developers coding in Websphere Portal.

Managed various Programs of work as part of the IT Systems development arm. In this role Peter most recently managed a major Vodafone/Hutchinson Integration release (Release 10.3).This release was made up of 8 projects, with a total revenue of $3M and approximately 3500 days effort. Peter also managed the CRM (Siebel) build team through Development, Testing and Deployment phases of a major multi-million dollar CRM/Billing replacement program (managing circa 25 developers).

The Australian Support Manager for the Vodafone SAM systems (CRM/Siebel & Rating systems - as outlined on the previous role below). This role involves management of a complicated integrated system of five applications, multiple Infrastructure/Environments, utilizing 26 support staff based in three different countries. Additionally, Peter has led the support management of two major upgrades.

Managed the CRM (Siebel) build team through all phases (Macro design through to Deployment) on a major Telecommunications program. The project was complex - the replacement of legacy Customer Management, Billing, Integration, provisioning & mediation systems for all Prepaid services. This undertaking spanned all Vodafone channels (Eg. MVNOs such as AAPT) and was regional (catering for AU, NZ). Peter's team of 40 were heavily involved in systems integration, data migration and worked with multiple vendors.

Managed various IT Infrastructure projects. Most projects involved managing a large number of disparate teams/organisations with multiple vendors and sub-contractors. During the last 4 months in this role Peter was tasked with coordinating 3 IBM Infrastructure projects in a Program Manager capacity for a SIEBEL CRM rollout

Managed all IBM resources on a Siebel CRM project (20 FTEs) that designed and built the Data Migration component. The project involved the replacement of a legacy mobile subscriber package by SIEBEL. This involved a high degree of systems integration. Peter also led the data conversion team. A system was developed that extracted and transformed legacy system data and loaded into SIEBEL base tables using EIM. Peter’s 2+ years on this project spanned 2 major and 2 minor releases.

Performed an integral role in the replacement of the client’s legacy mainframe systems by JBA/GEAC’s ERP package System 21. Led a team (eight employees) that focussed on the data migration / conversion of the Logistics information. This three+ year involvement spread from Vendor package selection right through to management of the data migration implementation. Over $70 million worth of stock was successfully migrated & 100% reconciled.

worked on a variety of application development projects for DMR (Canadian IT Consultancy). All involved the design and build of IT systems to meet the client's business requirements. DMR's usage of 'Methodology Plus' in the development life cycle, ensured a solid AP grounding in the development of Peter's IT skills.
