My role revolves around directing and implementing all communications and marketing for one of the UK’s largest and most established architecture and interior design firms. As head of marketing and communications, my role includes:- Leading on all media strategies for the practice, which involves proactively generating local, trade and national coverage that helps boost the reputation of the practice. This includes managing external agencies. - Directing the in-house graphic design team to deliver a consistent set of marketing collateral that reflects the design-led nature of the business.- Enhancing the practice’s digital presence which involved the strategy, design and launch of the practice’s new website and also running social media accounts and creating video content.- Identifying, securing and planning for events and speaking opportunities.- A new internal communications strategy to help the business keep its team updated.

Whilst living in Australia, I worked as a freelance communications consultant. Key projects and tasks include:- Devising tailored strategies that integrate on and offline forms of communication.- Messaging work in the form of corporate writing and brand guidelines.- Working with leading UK and international media outlets, such as the Guardian, The Sunday Times, and The Wall Street Journal as well as specialist, lifestyle and online publications.- Creating briefs and ensuring delivery of website designs, marketing collateral and corporate identity.

Whilst at the award-winning communications agency, I directed the communication strategies for leading architects, design brands and cultural institutions. My role revolved around auditing a client’s business objectives and brand values, using this to find creative and integrated ways of communicating what my clients do best.My work included:- Media relations for a wide range of projects – from the launch of luxury products to major international development projects in Haiti. I have an excellent range of media contacts, both in the UK and internationally.- Promoting high-profile events at the Venice Biennale of Architecture and Milan Design Week as well as curating debates and conferences at the London Design Festival, and collaborating with leading cultural institutions, such as The Royal Society of Arts. - Creating strong digital content and strategies, which included optimising newsletters, social media, creating and editing online magazines and websites.
