During my 26 years of service in Vietnam I have gained a varied and well rounded background with experience dealing with all aspects of the real estate process from Property and Facilities management, valuations, fund management investment and development in particular running and operating over USD 1 billion of real estate assets across the country in every sector. Highlights of the my career to date include – 1) Setting up owning and operating the Colliers International Franchise in Vietnam, employing directly over 125 people in Hanoi & Ho Chi Minh City and being responsible for approximately 500 people in terms of sub contractors including maintenance, security and cleaning teams. Buildings have included a large business park style campus of 100,000 sqm’s, a mixed use Grade A development of office tower 30,000 sqm’s, 305 room Intercontinental Hotel with 350 serviced apartments linked together with a retail Mall. The tallest Buildings in Hanoi 70 storey mixed use hotel residential and retail development and in Ho Chi Minh City the Financial Tower a 68 storey office building with a retail podium. 2) Launching and securing a real estate fund Vinaland listed on the AIM market in London and successfully raising USD 600 million and being responsible directly to the Board of the Fund for all investments made for the first USD 200 million. 3) Successfully carried out developments in all sectors of the real estate market from an analysis of highest and best use to completed developments with some major projects of significant size including a 2,000 hectare new town development including an industrial park and port. 4) Personally investing in real estate development projects in Vietnam gaining additional first hand experience of the development process from a personal perspective in a challenging and difficult environment.
