Peter Edwards is an award-winning architect, a recognised urbanist, and a leading figure in Queensland's urban design community.Peter is the founding Director of Archipelago - an integrated architecture, urban design and landscape architecture practice and one of Australia’s leading city-making design firms. Peter brings over 30 years of experience in architecture and urban design to provide leadership, design expertise and strategic thinking to the major projects shaping our nation’s cities. Recent city shaping projects include the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct Master Plan, 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games Athletes Village, Northshore Hamilton Master Plan and Maroochydore CBD Master Plan.Peter combines work on major projects with key involvement in urban design professional bodies. He is regularly sought after as a design team leader, public speaker, author and facilitator of design workshops. He continues to advocate publicly for better cities through urban design.Peter is a TEDx Alumni, past President of the Urban Design Alliance Qld, a member of the Qld Urban Design and Placemaking Panel, Griffith University Future Cities Advisory Board, and current member of the Committee for Brisbane 2033 Olympics Legacy Subcommittee.
