Test Consultant
I was initially brought in as a Test Analyst into what was then One2One, and later got acquired by T-Mobile, which in turn is now Everything Everywhere (EE). Based on my performance and how I conducted myself across the business I was promoted to team leader within 6 months, running a team of 5 people. I was responsible for all non-functional aspects of the performance of our pre-pay platforms from technical architecture to performance monitoring and automation. My responsibility then extended to also becoming responsible for strategic partner platforms (for MVNO providers like Virgin Mobile). Towards the latter part of my tenure, I was also given responsibility for the Amdocs deployment (code name Excalibur) for managing post-pay customers. The following are key notable achievements during the various roles held:• Introduced methodologies and built in-house automation tools to improve quality, reduce time and rework• Encouraged root cause analysis, and enabling developers to learn and improve through peer-to-peer reviews, etc to significantly reduce the number of defects• I won over the trust of the development teams to work with us to improve software quality and turned an adversarial relationship into a collaborative, high productivity environment• Jointly worked on concurrent charging as a concept, overcoming issues of single-band charging• Introduced Mercury Interactive WinRunner, driving great automation and repeatability – increasing quality and reducing defects and downtime• Won an internal award for vendor management for the Amdocs deploymentsee less
