Tnt Gateway And Depot Stansted Airport

As a Depot Manager for TNT working initially at Enfield and now Stansted I lead by example working with my team to achieve high levels of customer experience whilst achieving the strategic goals of the organisation. This has been the most challenging period of my career, inspiring the team to greater levels of service performance, improved productivity whilst bringing the depot in ahead of target for revenue, cost and profit in 2012. A greater satisfaction to me was the achievement of a 80% positive employee engagement rating in 2012 and the award of the "Most admired depot" award in the same period, an award taken from the comments and ratings returned by the customer accounts maintained by the Stansted team.

Stansted Air Hub And Enfield Depot

TNT Opened the joint Hub and Depot facility at Stansted Airport in December 1993, my role intially was that of an Operations Supervisor within the Air Hub with operational responsibilites for the movement of import and export consignments via the TNT Air network and ensuring compliance with HM Revenue Customs and Excise, also that Aviation Security Compliance and vigilence was effectively maintained. I progressed to the position of Operations Manager in 1995 with added management and leadership responsibilities. I left Stansted after a ten year period to broaden my experience and knowledge as an Operations Manager at TNT Enfield a major TNT Depot serving North London and surrounding counties, my responsibilities in this position were the effective operational management of both the PUD fleet and warehouse and supporting the depot management in achieving key Financial, Operational and Compliance objectives.

Harlow, Essex

I joined Elan an overnight domestic and international carrier in 1988 supporting the Traffic Office as a Traffic Clerk, I progressed with Elan to Depot Manager at Harlow, Essex in 1991, at the time this was a challenging role at a young age however the experiences were valuable in learning effective operational management and how to challenge and lead an operations team. I left the business in late 1993 to take up the opportunity that was offered to me with the opening of the TNT Stansted Airport Hub and depot.

I joined British Gas as a trainee who gave me the opportunity to me to study my BTEC National Business Studies during my two years with the business. On finishing my studies I was placed as an Adminstration Assistant with the regional centre at Barnet which became a valuable working experience for me both in learning new skills and how to develope working relationships in a large site, I left British Gas in late 1988 to work nearer to home with the position at Elan Overnight Express.
