Prior to beginning his legal career he worked at Tri-Star Pictures and Columbia Pictures in New York.As part of his intellectual property law practice, Peter heads up the firm’s Trademark Practice Group, which handles domestic and international trademark matters for clients throughout the world, including complex licensing transactions, trademark registration and enforcement proceedings, trademark portfolio maintenance and management, and trademark portfolio acquisitions and divestitures. As part of his corporate and commercial law practice, Peter advises U.S. and international clients in connection with equity and debt financings, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, business formations, corporate governance, reorganizations and restructurings, secured and unsecured lending transactions, executive and employee compensation arrangements, and dispute resolution.Peter is a frequent guest lecturer at various networking venues, tradeshows and private client meetings where he addresses current topics of interest as well as intellectual property law issues. He also writes about intellectual property issues including an article he wrote entitled "This season's must have IP rights", which was featured in Managing Intellectual Property magazine. It addresses the ways in which fashion designs may be protectable under US laws governing IP rights.
