CeoSpiess Australia Smallgoods Apr 2018 - PresentSpiess Australia is the leading (highest market share) Australasian processor and distributor of air dried slow cured meat products for the Australian Market, and selected export markets. I was recruited by the directors of the company to set a strategic plan to take the business forward supplying multiple sales channels, and developing direct sales relationships to major Australian Retailers, and other sales channels such as major Food Service organisations. This included business relationships for the further processing of Spiess products into retail ready packs. This expansion of products and markets also includes other processed meat products Spiess could also sell in combination that supported the overall supply of processed meat products for Australian Retailers and other sales channels. During 2019/2020 Spiess Australia has in addition developed a trading business that sources and markets other food / grocery items (not just processed meat) from Australian and Import markets. Major Achievements • Appointed of a key position supporting business development across the major retailers of Australia: • Gained sales in Woolworths Nationally using the Miguel Maestre (Celebrity Chef) brand with a range of dry cured meats and other value-added smallgoods products as well as several seasonal lines. • Awarded in May 2019 – launched September 2019 –Coles private label / branded business covering a full range of high-end dry cured sliced meats / and snacking lines. In addition, Coles lead Christmas Ham product (Crackling ham – which won Retailer Product of The Year for innovation 2019)• Awarded in April 2019 – launched August onward –product lines in Costco. These products predominantly being non Spiess manufactured lines and include the entire Christmas hams program for Costco 2019 / 20. • Gained ranging of several dry cured meat lines in David Jones Food stores in Australia.• Gained full accreditation to supply Coles branded and private label lines. -

FW provided artificial breeding services to the dairy and beef industries in Western Australia. It also operated a herd recording system and rural merchandising service.
