I partner with clients of all social identities in cultivating well-being and new possibilities; offering a unique perspective to LGBTQ+ folks and white folks on an anti-racism journey.I invite clients to explore identity and power explicitly, encouraging them to explore the wisdom in their emotions and the body. Clients report our coaching sessions provide a warm and joyful place for reflection and growth. My coaching superpowers are listening deeply without judgement and using my intuition to name what seems just beyond the edge of a client’s awareness. ⭐️⭐️ SELF-DEFINITION ⭐️⭐️I identify as a white man, queer, and Generation X. I grew up on an island in Lake Champlain; my lineage is made of French Canadian and Irish American farmers and teachers. I've inherited the ability to grow a delicious tomato; unearned racial and economic privilege; and a commitment to justice. I live in Chicago, my adopted hometown, with Bob (my husband) and Charlie (my chihuahua). I resource myself through the outdoors, queer fiction, and by co-creating community--a habit modeled by my parents who operated a small-town grocery story.⭐️⭐️ RESUME⭐️⭐️For many years, I worked in U.S. K-12 education. In a sector misshapen by accountability, I shifted power and challenged inequity, including through the use of data and research. I co-created opportunities for teachers and leaders to raise their racial literacy and examine their practice with an equity lens. I also supported school leaders and staff in making sense of and transforming school cultures.
