I also led efforts to commission into service the newly constructed Northern line Extension. This included two new twin bore tunnels, two new stations, two new emergency intervention points as well as changes required to existing rolling stock and control centres. The extension to Battersea Power station will help to support the regeneration of an area from Vauxhall, to Nine Elms and Battersea along the south side of the River Thames.

Represent the UAM on all service control related issues from concept design through to Factory and Site Acceptance Testing. SME input into key human factors related activities including HMI development of the £7.5m Invensys’ DTG-R signal control system and £1m Siemens Line Management System. Authored staff briefing notices and lead the production of operational training material to support the first Automatic Train Operation (ATO) to ATO LU line upgrade, and live “over and back” testing of the new control centre.
