About Peter Grant

I am Counsel and past chair of the Technology, Communications and Intellectual Property Group at the law firm of McCarthy Tetrault LLP in Toronto. I am the author of numerous articles and publications, including the Canadian Broadcasting Regulatory Handbook, a standard industry reference, now in its eleventh edition. In February 2004, Douglas & McIntyre published Blockbusters and Trade Wars: Popular Culture in a Globalized World, a book co-authored by Chris Wood and myself. I appear in the 2011 edition of Chambers Global: The World’s Leading Lawyers for Business as a leading lawyer in the area of telecommunications and broadcasting law as well as appearing in the 2007 edition in the area of technology, media and telecommunications. I am also listed as one of The Best Lawyers in Canada in the field of Communications Law and Entertainment Law in 2012. I have been named the Best Lawyers’ 2011 Toronto Entertainment Lawyer of the Year.
