About Peter Gribbin
I am a Chartered Professional Geologist with 35 years' experience spread across the mining, civil engineering and environmental sectors in the fields of mineral exploration, mining engineering, geotechnics and hydrogeology. The diversity of project experience gained throughout my career in Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Far East and UK has allowed me to apply many of the branches of geoscience in an integrated manner to present complete solutions to tasks whilst remaining specialised in key areas of expertise.My recent professional emphasis is on the establishment and completion of site investigation, testing and monitoring programs for water resource, mine re-entry, open cut and underground dewatering projects, and mine groundwater control and management. The associated modelling, analysis and reporting assists mine planning and development, geotechnical and stability matters, water management and environmental issues.I have introduced and grown groundwater teams at four major engineering consultancies, working with established geoscience groups, and having a strong focus on delivering integrated solutions to a wide range of projects across diverse fields. Working with clients at all levels to identify their needs and helping to instill an understanding of project technical aspects to ensure the delivery and ownership of cost-effective, risk-free and sustainable outcomes. I have developed quality, environmental and H&S management systems from the project-task and job-specific, through to the office-wide and organisational level.
