Peter Haskell is a highly motivated and pragmatic professional with more than 20 years of extensive Quantity Surveying, Commercial and Project Management experience processes gained within the mixed used, commercial, residential, hotel & hospitality sectors in UK and international construction sectors.Prior to forming Haskell Construction Management, Peter was Project / Commercial Manager at The Resort Group Plc. There, his responsibilities included the internal project management of design, cost planning, construction, FF&E Design and fit out of the Melia Tortuga Beach Resort and Melia Dunas Beach Resort in Sal, Cape Verde, Africa. In addition to dealing with client and employer representatives and Hotelier technical staff in order to ensure their assets and designs reached maximum return on investment through intelligent planning and design.Between 2004 - 2009, Peter was the Regional Commercial Manager for Gleeson Regeneration in which as well as running the Commercial Dept for the North East region also oversaw the commercial construction elements of the first new build housing PFI scheme in the country, Grove Village in Manchester, and various other large regeneration projects throughout the country.Peter's role in running the department of 3 nr Quantity Surveyors, a Buyer and an Estimator, was also to liaise with all the other bodies involved, local authorities, residence groups, design consultants and contractors, in order to maintain a smooth delivery of the project. Peter is a UK national and is keen to develop new skills and experiences and has worked throughout the world, including Central Europe, and Africa. Peter is married with 2 children and enjoys sports (Rugby, cycling, football & weight training) and exploring new cultures and environments.
