• Design, develop, implement and lead best-practice recruitment strategies that generate a qualified, diverse pipeline of candidates for all positions within Seattle Public Schools.• Develop a strategic recruitment plan to accomplish recruitment goals to ensure that Seattle Public Schools (SPS) meets or exceeds targets for academic achievement and are in direct alignment with the Seattle Excellence Strategy to diversify the educator workforce and the SPS Central Office.• Ensure the development of a robust, innovative and creative recruitment strategy and annual campaign aimed at increasing the overall quality and diversity of talent and applicant pool, especially teachers and building leaders; includes an external social media strategy and plan that engages job boards, and from time to time may involve unique and or specialized hiring efforts for hard to find skills.• Serve as primary contact with departments of education at key partner universities; leads the Recruiting Fellows program (current SPS educators who aid in the sourcing and cultivation of teacher candidates), and leads robust and engaging recruitment events, including Central Office and administrator hiring (in person and online). The Program Manager – Recruiting also provides strategic recruiting support to the ARE Program.

• Support designated roster of schools and partner with building admin in relation all HR needs.• Experience at Elementary as well as Secondary level in relation to certification and process management.• Partner with budget and schools to maximize and problem solve a multitude of changes which occur through allocation and enrollment shifts.• Manage and lead annual budget/staffing meetings with building leaders to ensure school staffing is in line with allocation expectation and work to fill vacancies where needed.• Strategize with building admin in relation to staffing changes and procurement of staff from vacancy through onboard.• Meet with building admin multiple times per year for check in meetings related to staffing data and expectations.• Ensure buildings are adhering to district and union related processes and procedures around staffing and hiring.• Provide optimal customer service to all individuals within my designated schools as well as outside in relation to HR needs.

• Work to support and maintain staffing needs for (31) Elementary and (5)K-8 schools assigned to my team.• Ability to help and assist in any capacity for the betterment of the department and/or districts needs.• Assist school administrators daily in response to staffing or HR general inquiries through email, phone, or in the office drop ins.• Ability to process hiring process from initiation of job posting, through screening, hire authorization, job offer, salary placement, Neogov hire process, and onboard.• Procure and report out on hiring numbers as well as other pertinent analytics in relation to hiring goals or hiring data at scheduled time/s or a moment’s notice if necessary.

• Establish relationships with building/central office administrators to identify hiring needs and drive the selection processes appropriately. Arranged interviews, prepared interview documents, confirmed employment eligibility/certifications, conducted reference checks, and processed new-hire paperwork.• Attend local and out of state recruitment fairs and partner with surrounding organizations to identify qualified candidates. Worked actively with potential candidates in completing the application process and ensuring appropriate consideration for positions in which they are qualified. Maintained organization of travel documents and interview materials for candidates scheduled in advance.• Identified as Lead of two specialists; responsible for providing training to new Employment Services staff and taking the initiative to create and execute new ideas to promote an efficient, progressive hiring/selection process.• Regularly fill-in as a back-up to the Employment Services Coordinator. This responsibility requires the ability to authorize hires for the district, offer positions, and work closely with HR management to receive approval for job postings and hiring exceptions.
