Ever since I was a kid, I felt at home getting deep into some complex task or problem, whether that was a physical activity or something more abstract. My interests began to lean towards biomedical at an early age, when a relative of mine had to have a leg amputated during childbirth. She had something like a 3% chance of survival, but not only recovered and was outfitted with a variety of prosthetics, but went on to become a US Paralympian and one of the most active people I know. Watching her recovery inspired me to pursue a career in adjacent fields.I have more than 10 years of modeling experience with various programs, including Blender, Autodesk Inventor, and Solidworks. Most recently, I was a tech intern at the Cerebral Palsy Research Foundation. Prior to that, involved in research at WSU involving solid state electrodes, which was presented at the URCAF forum. Works well in group settings and desires a specific focus in collaborative design. Quick to learn new skills, and wants to challenge himself in new ways.Looking for new opportunities in the biomedical industry, with an interest in 3D printing, prosthetics, material engineering, and gene therapy.
