Software Engineer for the Engineering Application Support - Systems and Software Team. The team supports engineering applications including IBM Rational applications (DOORS classic, Change/Synergy, and the CLM/ELM suite), GitLab, Jira, and CI/CD applications for General Dynamics Mission Systems.Direct responsibilities include-Support and training for IBM Rational DOORS 9 and the Collaborative Lifecycle Management (CLM) suite including Rational Team Concert, Rational Quality Manager, and Rational DOORS Next Generation-Primary POC for development and support for DOORS Classic DXL Scripts used by General Dynamics and business partners. Scripts contain about 160k lines of code.-Development and support for customizations in the IBM Rational Collaborative Lifecycle Management suite including Rational Team Concert, Rational DOORS Next Generation, and Rational Quality Manager-Additional support for installation and integration of applications outside of the IBM applications including Jira, GitLab, Jenkins, Selenium, Eggplant, and SonarQube.

Additionally, the position is responsible to design or specify inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment. Quality Engineers analyze production and service limitations and standards; recommend revisions of specifications when indicated and formulate or help formulate quality assurance policies and procedures. The position interfaces with all other engineering components within the company and with customers and suppliers on quality related issues.
