I am currently Senior Director of Engineering at Trimble Inc.A Chartered Engineer, I have over 30 years of experience in the software industry at board level, directing and managing development programs and selling complex technical solutions to corporate level on a global basis.I have managed and directed software engineering teams internationally in the UK, US, Europe, India and South East Asia. This has encompassed multiple industries including Construction, Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Pharmaceuticals and Manufacturing. I have also developed business streams on a global basis with specific experience in both North and South America, Europe and Asian markets, mainly in the highly competitive oil & gas, chemical and power generation businesses.In my current and previous roles I have managed Agile software teams across multiple sites both nationally and internationally, working closely with customers and internal stakeholders. I feel that my communication and interpersonal skills combined with my technical experience in software development and solutions selling are my core strengths. I am passionate about driving improvements in process and performance for my teams. I have also significant long term customer relationship management experience and believe I can help get the best out of the teams I work with.I have significant experience in gaining and retaining certifications for ISO 27001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and Cyber Essentials. For a number of years I have been closely involved in cyber security for software and cloud solutions.I'm also a former member of the GB Dragon Boat squad and have competed at World & European level.
