Reporting to the executive board; providing financial leadership, appraisal of new business opportunities and developing commercial thinking within the accounting team.Responsibilities & Duties• Financial control and management of business - circa £87m turnover• Business modelling including full cash flows with IRR & NPV measures• Influence operational teams to improve quality and financial performance• Financial support for all contract and service negotiations• Monthly presentation of the divisional results and performance• Develop KPI analysis and relevant data to aid strategic decision making• Preparation of three & five year projections• Preparation of annual budgets, monthly forecasts and variance analysis• Mentor and line managing the accounts team, chartered and non chartered accounts• Lead audit liaison for the UK divisions including performance, risks, and controls• Ensure the robustness of financial procedures and update as necessary

Provide financial and business support to the Managing Director and Head of New Business, from acquisitions through to ongoing operations.Achievements• Successful opening of 12 large care homes by Dec 2010• On target to achieve EBITDAR Growth from £0 to £15m (stabilised) by 2013Responsibilities & Duties• Feasibility assessment of new care home opportunities• Supporting the Managing Director to ensure the financial success of the division• Actively involved in operational strategy groups and meetings• Influence operational teams to improve quality and financial performance• Contract and service negotiations with funding organisations• Provide recruitment and people management support to the division• Monthly presentation of the divisions performance to the board• Preparation of three & five year projections for banks, landlords, and investors• Mentor and line managing the accounts team, including two chartered accounts• Manage the production of accounts & key financial information• Review and approve balance sheet reconciliation’s• Lead audit liaison for the division, including performance, risks, and controls• Support other business divisions as agreed with the CFO
