This also involved understanding the commercials of the project, customer and sales process. The delivery management side of the role involves everything associated to successfully deliver the project (consultancy, requirements gathering, writing the specification, working with customer in signing the specification, briefing the team members, scheduling the work with the team, regular updates to all stakeholders, demonstration to end-customer, etc). Once the projects are fully complete, handing the account over to the account manager to explore further sales opportunities. The role had various business-critical tasks which made an enormous impact. This involved making key decisions on which projects should go into the schedule at which time (as this would normally relate to client expectations, payment terms, business strategy, etc). For this reason, it was important to keep a pulse on the business requirements and meet regularly with key management players.

It was my duty to rally the development team around me in achieving these results. Together we worked on system improvements and new features, which was released and in production today. Again, I worked with each developer creating a professional roadmap with them, which helped to give clear goals for each to achieve. This naturally gave both parties the boost, as it was a win-win situation. I have also demonstrated commercial awareness whilst understanding the risk and change management involved. Communication was critical to this role, as one had to translate business requirements from management into clear requirements for the technical team to achieve.
Support Manager
This role gave me the opportunity to showcase my leadership skills, where I led and managed the support team. This involved managing the team through their daily duties whilst meeting the service level agreements. The daily tasks included reviewing the tickets, assigning the tickets based on the priority and severity, communicating clearly at all levels especially with the client, and then working together with the team in reaching the milestones. A big part of the role involved being a coach for the team, to ensure we can reach the successes which we've had.

Tickets were reported through phone calls, emails, online chat messages, and on-site visits. The development aspect of the role included resolving known constraints with the software, improving existing features and implementing new features helping the sales team to further opportunities.
