Development of Embedded Linux Platform. Worked, as Developer, with the objective to develop a custom embedded Linux platform for Enea's customers. Main tasks has been to be responsible for the design and implementation of a Linux-based GUI for the product ELPF - ENEA Linux Project Framework, which is reminiscent of the GUI used to configure the Linux kernel. This means first and foremost to analyze appropriate graphic libraries / applications that can be reused from the open market. Thereafter develop an application written in C that manages the communication between these open libraries and ELPF. Also developed (in Python) the buildrobot that periodically tests the source code checked into the platform and reports back the results to main developers. The buildrobot is based on an open source product named buildbot. Additional work has included porting of various perlscripts to Python.• Tools used: Linux OS, GCC C/C++ Compilers, GDB Debugger, Emacs editor, GNU Make.

Customer: NASDAQ OMX Nordic.Worked in the first stage with the protocols in the backend part, the so-called TE (Trading Engine) which is the base/hub of the OMX proprietary stock trading system Saxess. He participated in the design and development of the FIX protocol to add additional functionality. After that he went on to work on the so-called MarketData which has the task of providing Participants (merchants / traders) with ongoing information about orders and matching of these. Peter then received another mission at NASDAQ OMX, to create an adaptation of the system for the Russian market, IXSP (International Exchange St. Petersburg). He designed and developed the “Start-of-day” part of something called the “Ivanov project” which had as a goal to read external data and transform it for NASDAQ OMX / Saxess internal use.• Developed and maintained complex applications to deliver data-driven content to merchants / traders.• Ported source code to multiple platforms to widen product availability and increase sales.• Drove customer issue escalation resolution, decreasing backlog of customer issues by 24%• Tools used: Solaris OS, cc and gcc compilers, dbx debugger, cvs, vi, emacs and xemacs editors. Shellscripting in bash and kornshell.

Designed, developed and tested a Middleware Solution in C/C++/Bea Tuxedo and J2EE at Swedish Social Insurance – Computer Dept, Sundsvall Sweden. The system allowed a transition from a legacy Mainframe platform (GCOS) to an open architecture in Unix/Linux.• Tools used: C / C++, BEA Tuxedo, BEA WebLogic Server, Bull Flowbus, Kornshell, IBM Rational Rose, RUP, IBM Rational Robot.

Worked as a consultant for TeliaSonera http://www.teliasonera.com. Wrote a billing prototype in a tool called SAP Netweaver Webdynpro. This system was to collect data from various legacy systems (Bea Tuxedo among others) and present them at a Web Site portal. TeliaSonera’s customers would then have an opportunity to manage their own telecom and Internet subscriptions.• Researched and evaluated third-party products; prototyped, developed, tested, and delivered solution for secure, personalized employee benefit Web pages.• Created a fully automated Web ordering/payment system using SAP Netweaver Webdynpro, merging data from legacy systems to provide a personalized experience for customers.• Designed routines to receive Web orders, build customer records, create invoices, and issue unlock password codes to maintain privacy.• Tools used: Windows OS, SAP Netweaver Webdynpro.
