I am a Medical Doctor, Public and Global Health leader, passionate about mitigating equity gaps in access to essential social services like safe water, healthcare, and education. I envision a world where all people are able to receive accurate and evidence based information, to enable them make informed decisions about their well-being, particularly to improve their health, prevent illness, and seek and receive timely, affordable, acceptable and quality healthcare services, irrespective of who they are, and where they live on the planet.Starting out as a Clinician 23 years ago, I've had the privilege of working in the areas of Health Systems Strengthening, Global Public Health Programming, Public Health Program Monitoring and Evaluation, Program Quality Assurance, Leadership Capacity Building, Health Worker Capacity Strengthening, and more recently, WASH. As an experienced team leader, I have worked with multi-disciplinary and cross country/cutural teams to design, implement and manage development programs including public health, HIV/AIDS, RMNCH, leadership development, human resources for health capacity building, and community based programs in various countries. I'm passionate about how technology can be harnessed to optimise the impact of development programs including public health program delivery, remote/ blended learning, and the role of innovation in maximising the impact of public health interventions. I am always thrilled to see how the efforts of my colleagues and myself result in tangible positive outcomes like improved health, socioeconomic empowerment, gender equity, and strengthened local capacity to own and solve problems.
