In the past few years I have been employed by a small Hungarian company specializing in wireline surveys and well inspections for thermal and cold water wells. Past roles included 1. A short-term contract involving grassroots exploration near the Zambian Copperbelt 2. An internship at Ariana Resources at the Sindirgi Gold Corridor in Turkey and 3. A Budapest-based position with a civil engineering company. During these ventures I gained hands-on skills such as field mapping, optical microscopy, XRD & XRF-analysis, evaluation of a fire assay, wireline logging, geochemical sampling (soil-, stream sediment- and even termite mound sampling! - see image above), geological data analysis (XRF-gun) and visualization in ESRI ArcMap. I had the opportunity to work with the following software: ArcMap, Surfer, Grapher, WellCAD, GeoLogger (an internal wireline logging software). Even though I graduated with honors from Cardiff University, UK in 2013 my career path had not been a straight line but rather sinusoidal as is the industry... :) My dissertation was based on a placement in Turkey. An exploration project aiming to find high- and low-sulfidation epithermal gold deposits. Although I love Mineral Exploration I am equally interested in Petroleum Exploration. I aim to gain as much experience on both fields as possible (regardless of the job's nature - may it be a drill rig or a mine site) in order to decide which carrier path I'm leaning towards. I have specific interest in porphyry copper-, epithermal gold -and sediment-hosted uranium deposits however I also am keen on learning about more recent energy acquisition methods such as carbon catchment and storage, shale gas and geothermal energy. I like to read case studies of petroleum plays, alteration mapping and hydrothermalism. I am considered to have great skills in data visualization, geophysical surveys & their interpretation. I am currently based in Budapest, Hungary however I am internationally mobile. and have an EU Passport & a full (clean) EU driving license.
Listed skills include Geological Mapping, Geology, Mineral Exploration, Microsoft Office, and 26 others.
