Prior to joining Fitch Learning , I was employed by BGC Group, where I was responsible for both Business Development & Origination, for Buy & Sell-side clients for the Short-Term trading desk. This included, working with high profile UK & European based Money Market & Liquidity Fund Management teams, & Central Banks & Agencies from various continents. This was alongside partnering with Banks from multiple geographic regions seeking to borrow & lend through various markets at their disposal. When working with these clients I was tasked with developing existing business, coupled with pursuing new leads, tailoring a greater product range, and onboarding new accounts to the business, and the wider firm. This role also involved engaging with BGC offices in Frankfurt, Paris, New York, Dublin,& Singapore.Away from the trading desks, I supported HR in various Internship initiatives, & School Leaver & Community programmes, where the Money Market desk was a great platform for learning.Ahead of joining BGC I amassed over thirty years of successful continuous trading experience in the Euro-Commercial Paper Market & Short-Term bond markets. This was best reflected in my employment at Citigroup, where various market events, and financial crises allowed me to gain invaluable market exposure, and knowledge.At Citi, trading focus extended to all sectors of the issuer space, ranging from SSA’s, Corporates (short term rated A1+P1, through to A3P3, onto unrated entities), Asset Backed vehicles & Financials.Coupled with borrower coverage, I have comprehensive insight and engagement with the investor landscape.Counterparty relationships, & contacts extend to UK, Swiss & EU domiciled Short-Term Fund Managers.These connections are paired with European, Asian, CEEMA, North/South American, & Offshore U.S. based institutions and corporates.Daily interaction & contribution with the Citi Global Commercial Paper Origination team was an increasingly evolving role which fully complemented Trader Sales responsibilities.
