Environment – Project EngineeringHexagon Mining is a global company providing fleet management, product optimisation and high precision GPS guidance systems to the mining industry.The Project Engineering division is responsible for the deployment, configuration and technical support of the Hexagon Jigsaw systems at the customer mining sites within Australia and worldwide.Responsibilities⦁ Initial deployment of the system at the customer mining sites.⦁ Configuration of the software to suit the customer's requirements including customisations if necessary.⦁ Support and maintain the software until project handover to the Customer Care Team.⦁ Troubleshoot any system issues that arise and either correct through configuration, correct through local customisations or document and manage the issues with the Product Development Team.⦁ Serve as the primary customer contact for support and enhancements after deployment.⦁ Provide technical support as needed to other departments within Leica Geosystems Mining.

Environment – Product DevelopmentHexagon Mining is a global company providing fleet management, product optimisation and high precision GPS guidance systems to the mining industry.The Product Development division is responsible for the maintenance and development of new functionality in the Hexagon Jigsaw systems at the customer mining sites within Australia and worldwide.Responsibilities⦁ Developing new components, features and functionality within the designated products.⦁ Assisting in the maintenance of existing designated product by fixing bugs found.⦁ Assisting in the improvement of existing designated product.⦁ Assisting with documentation (discussion/testing/release/doc notes).⦁ Assisting in the creation and implementation of detailed specifications and code.⦁ Take responsibility for resolving complex technical issues.

Environment – Technical Services AreaBSR are the franchise owners for the Betta Electrical and Chandlers brands and were a part owner of Sleepys.The technical services area provides BSR with the full computing infrastructure support including networking, software development and 3rd level troubleshooting support for both Head Office and Stores.Responsibilities⦁ Maintenance of Data Warehouse server and databases.⦁ Creation and maintenance of Microsoft Reporting Server reports.⦁ Creation and maintenance of web based reporting systems.⦁ Extraction of data from the store databases and head office Data Warehouse to supplement available reporting systems and to provide data to outside organisations.⦁ Setup and Administration of Linux based servers providing Website, Email, anti-virus, anti-spam, FTP, DNS, MySQL Database and web proxy services.⦁ Setup and Administration of Linux based database servers which hold the Interbase databases for all store POS systems around Australia and the main BSL head office POS database.⦁ Development of software to support BSR using Delphi, PHP and Perl.⦁ Development of in-house web applications using MySQL, MSSQL and PHP.⦁ Liaison with external development companies.⦁ Backup support for the Windows administrators for Networking, Firewalls, Active Directory administration, MSSQL.
