Halifax Nova Scotia will be my new home as from January 2022. I’m excited to explore new career opportunities, and to enjoy the diversity that is Nova Scotia. My relocation has been in planning for sometime and I have researched much about the area. Everything has now finally come together to make the move possible. Being aware that Halifax is the fastest growing city in Canada with a rich and diverse culture, makes it the perfect fit for me.. Career experience summary:My career started in Civil/Structural engineering. It was through engineering that I entered the world of Information Communication Technology (ICT). My passion for ICT resulted in a complete career change from engineering to ICT which then grew from success to success. In 2014 I saw an opportunity in alternative energy and founded Solman Gas (Pty) Ltd. The company continues to be successful, profitable and fully operational. This mix of executive and middle management experience in corporate and small business has given me a broader understanding of business and ignited my inherent entrepreneurial spirit. Dealing with staff and customers from various industries, in a country as diverse as South Africa has enhanced my skills and abilities to work with people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures.Some of the world’s most successful organisations I have worked for:• SGI (Silicon Graphics Inc, )• Cray Research• Sybase Inc.• SAPThe opportunities that I would like to explore are fairly wide as I’m extremely open minded and flexible. The opportunities that I would consider include both executive and middle management and consulting roles, roles that involve people (customers/staff/suppliers), or working in services or sales. I am very creative and innovative.
