Peter is on the Engineering Department staff of the Camden County Municipal Utilities Authority (CCMUA), the regional wastewater treatment agency, where he works on green stormwater infrastructure strategies and implementation, research and evaluation of wastewater treatment options, project funding opportunities, Website management, and collaboration with community and partner organizations.He is also an independent consultant on technology trends.Before joining CCMUA, he was an adjunct instructor in Geography & Environment at Rowan University teaching introductory Geography and Environment, and a part-time lecturer at Rutgers University, teaching a course in Environmental Justice.He was responsible for New Jersey Conservation Foundation’s efforts in land acquisition and conservation in the city of Camden in support of the Camden Greenways initiative and continues on the board of Camden Greenways, Inc. He has served on the Camden County Environmental Commission since its inception in 1991 (including terms as Vice Chair and Chair) and was founding chair of the Haddon Township Environmental Commission, serving since it was created in 2002. He has also served on the Board of Trustees and the Advisory Council of the Association of New Jersey Environmental Commissions and co-chaired Save Open Space for Camden County in its successful campaign to encourage voters to approve dedicated funding for open space preservation.Before joining NJCF, Peter served as a research analyst at the Johns Hopkins Center for Metropolitan Planning & Research and its Institute for Policy Studies; independent consultant; systems support analyst at Unisys; and government and university services engagement manager and research analyst at CHI Research (later ipIQ).He earned a BA in Mathematical Sciences from Johns Hopkins University, and a MSEng and PhD from Johns Hopkins in Geography & Environmental Engineering in its program of Systems Analysis & Economics for Public Decision Making.
