In this role as Maintenance Manager, I was involved in the occupational health and safety of a team of 6 Fitters, all technical training requirements and liaising with production for the scheduling of all downs days, annual shutdown work and the project management of new installations of plant and equipment and to ensure the maintenance team work within the companies SOP procedures, risk management procedures and the co-ordination of external contractors as required and to work within the budgetary requirements for the maintenance department.I am also responsible for all maintenance purchasing of spares and consumerables as well as the implementation and up-keep of a CMMS preventative maintenance system that oversees the scheduled PM servicing of all production plant and equipment within the site.
