Responsible for the observation processing technical infrastructure of the Integrated Forecasting System.Every day more than 700 million meteorological observations pass through the Integrated Forecasting System.My work in the Earth System Assimilation Section at ECMWF encompasses: -overall architecture of observation data flow -observation database, thinning, blacklisting -performance and scalability aspects -providing assistance adding new observation data streams into IFS and setting up new configurations of the data assimilation system -scientific developments to improve the performance of the observation screening and assimilation system.
