Joining planned office interiors in February, I have adapted to the office refit / refurbishment environment. I am fulfilling all aspects of a project cycle, from sales / estimating to project managing. Ensuring projects are delivered on time, to cost and to customer satisfaction. Current job roles, responsibilities and expectations. Produce accurate drawings, within a given time schedule, which can be effectively exchanged and agreed with client and then be used to allow manufacture, fabrication, assembly and installation of the package equipment. Compile standard data, for equipment and instrumentation, such that it can be easily located and used as a basis for producing contract drawings. Obtain job specific information from the engineers and maintain the working file system. Produce accurate drawings, in both 2D & 3D formats using both AutoCAD and AutoCAD bolt on package Cadworx, which can be exchanged with client for approval purposes and hen issued to sub-contractors for manufacture/ assembly/ installation. I joined Broxap Limited as a Drawing Office Junior, completing mostly administrative tasks. However I quickly progressed to a Trainee Draughtsman, the responsibilities which I had were as follows;• Allocate, distribute drawing requests in the team leader’s absence.• Attend initial meetings to determine designs of products required when needed.• The interpretation of both the order and site survey to produce the general arrangement drawing for client approval. For each individual bespoke project.• The production of detailed fabrication drawings to allow the manufacture of the bespoke products adhering to the structural engineers comments.• Provide technical assistance to other departments in respect of design and manufacture.• To adhere to the in-house ISO standards and drawing practices.• Have an understanding of manufacturing techniques and installation procedures. Complying to “The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007’’ and relevant British Standards.• Participate in accompanied technical / survey visits to customers to resolve installation and quality issues.• Prioritising and working to tight deadlines to ensure project are completed on time.
