An experienced Information Assurance / IT / Cyber Security and Programme / Project Manager with over 35 years’ experience in IT and over 40 years in business. His experience includes 16 years in financial services where after 3 years in mainstream banking he specialised in computer audit, audit management and security. This has been followed by over 20 years in consulting, specialising in Information Assurance, IT / Cyber Security Risk Management, Programme & Project Management, Procurement and Business Analysis / Economic Appraisals.Previously working for Northern Bank, National Australia Group, ASE Consulting and Deloitte, Peter is now co founder and managing partner of ANSEC IA Limited, part of the Outsource Group. Peter is a Fellow of the BCS, a CISA and a CISSP. Peter is a member of the UK ISACA Advocacy Group. He is a former ISACA Ireland president and Chair of the Northern Ireland Cyber Steering Group.Peter is volunteering with the @UK Cyber Security Council as an Assessor for Professional Registration Titles. As the voice of the cyber security profession, the Council aims to advance awareness and knowledge in the sector, create an open, inclusive, and professional culture, influence best practices that benefit the public in the UK and beyond and act as the reference point for professional standards, competence and commitment.
