I transitioned from Nexagent into EDS EMEA Portfolio group to facilitate network capacity planning, trending, base lining, and SLA measurement for key clientsWithin HP I provide network infrastructure design services to key clients in the manufacturing and public sectors.I developed and conducted WAN tests to provide direct input into a bid proposal for the DWP’s transition to Citrix-based services from HP, ensuring that the SLA from the WAN provider was appropriate for a successful service roll-out. High quality evidence could then be used to provide confidence for the client to adopt the new service. I led the network design and implementation for a multi-supplier backup/storage solution on a number of international Rolls-Royce productions sites. By removing ambiguity in requirements and ensuring high quality design documentation, I eliminated the need for expensive rework from other supplier teams to meet tight budget and timescale requirements.I provided capacity planning modelling and network upgrade proposals to support the roll-out of a new offender management application for the UK prison service. My planning led to the efficient use of network resources to meet predicted volume requirements without the high costs associated with link and firewall over-capacity.
