I'm delighted to work on a daily basis with individuals and organisations which generously support the University of Leeds with philanthropic donations. My role connects me with fascinating Leeds alumni, other individuals with a passion for our work, companies with a truly global outlook and some of the world's biggest charitable foundations. Our supporters generously give towards programmes helping less-advantaged individuals access and succeed at university and supporting students to start their own businesses, as well as impactful and globally significant research projects. I also work with Leeds graduates who give their time to help current students, for example through mentoring and careers advice. I have been proud to work on a number of fascinating fundraising initiatives across my career - from marine archaeology to increasing access to the arts, scholarships for students from around the world - and even skeletal 'murder mysteries' in Dorset! As a self-proclaimed 'philanthropy nerd', I have recently been awarded Postgraduate Certificate with Distinction in Philanthropic Studies from the University of Kent. I also hold an MA in Modern History from Durham University.
