About Peter Longmire

I started my career in care in 2004, first with adults with learning / physical disabilities which involved empowering them to be included in their communities through self determination. I then worked with young people in care before starting my current position in the CAMHS Intensive Treatment Team in Lanarkshire.Through these posts I have worked with a diverse range of people and shown that I have been equality focused and anti-discriminatory, empowering the individuals and their families to facilitate change where possible.to increase my knowledge and enhance the skills I have learned over the years, I completed a PgCert Counselling Studies at Edinburgh University and have taken this further finishing a PG Diploma in Human Relations and Counselling at Human Development in Glasgow, by the end of the year.
