Peter Longo retired in June 2018 after 30 years with United Technologies Corporation (UTC). Prior to the 2020 merger with Raytheon and the spin-off of its commercial units, UTC had revenues in excess of $75 billion. UTC was a Fortune 100 multinational corporation and provided high-technology systems and services to the building and aerospace industries. Peter's service includes leadership roles in finance, audit and controllership, operations, supply chain, information technology and talent development. Shortly after retirement, Peter was appointed Chairman of Cyient, Inc. the U.S. subsidiary of Hyderabad based Cyient, Ltd. Cyient has approximate revenues of $700 million and provides engineering, manufacturing, geospatial, network, and operations management services to global industry leaders.Peter retired from UTC as Senior Vice President of Operations. Here, he provided leadership and guidance across nearly $30B of direct and indirect supply chain spend and helped drive standard work across UTC’s large and disparate international businesses in supply chain strategy, quality, advanced manufacturing, and operations talent development. Prior to SVP Operations, Peter served as VP and Chief Financial Officer at several of UTC’s large aerospace business units, including Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, Hamilton Sundstrand Corporation, UTC Aerospace Systems and UTC Propulsion and Aerospace. His other roles included UTC Vice President, Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer, as well as VP Controller and VP Chief Information Officer at UTC’s Pratt & Whitney Division.Peter was a key part of many UTC important and high visibility initiatives. While at Pratt & Whitney, he led the successful implementation of a global single instance enterprise resource planning system, which at the time, was the largest implementation of SAP software in aerospace. While CFO at Hamilton Sundstrand and later as Corporate Controller, he was part of the senior team leading the strategy, acquisition, integration, and purchase accounting for the 2012 purchase of Goodrich Aerospace. At $18B, this was the largest acquisition in aerospace history, only to be surpassed by UTC’s subsequent $30B acquisition of Rockwell Collins. Peter was active in maximizing supply chain synergies and integrating UTC’s ACE operating system into Rockwell. After graduating with highest honors from Bentley University in 1981, Peter earned his CPA designation and was on the staff of Price Waterhouse until 1988, when he joined UTC.
