My Name is Peter Zander. I graduated from Sonoma State University in 2019 with a B.S. in Geology and intend to pursue a career where I will be able to utilize my expertise in laboratory and scientific fieldwork as well as material analysis. During my undergraduate studies, a significant portion of my coursework involved the practice and implementation of scientific research methods to produce professional-quality reports. I have participated in over four years of laboratory work during my studies and have previously worked in a college chemistry laboratory. I have experience with a wide variety of instruments for material testing including an x-ray diffractometer, a scanning electron microscope, and a petrographic microscope, among others. Independent research was emphasized in my undergraduate work, involving a project-based setting, and culminating in a published thesis during my senior year.
