I photograph people and tell stories. Whether for a print shoot or film, I try to capture the meaning behind the moment. I like to become a part of my subject's life. I am drawn to the beauty that comes from someone's soul, and to a reality that isn't always classically beautiful. I love using natural light and real people whenever possible. I also adore old farm equipment, the great outdoors, families, historic buildings, fast cars, a life that hasn't been photo shopped, and most challenges. Bring it on, all of it.

  Peter Zander has been a pre-eminent lifestyle photographer since the early 90's. He began his career as a fashion photographer, working internationally for magazine and advertising clients, including Mademoisselle, NY Times Fashions of the Times, Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair, Self, Uomo Bazaar, GQ, Ann Taylor...transitioning into Lifestyle in the 90's as a natural progression of the stories his fashion photos always told.
