Lead network engineer at Comm-works, LLC leading a small team of engineers executing network refresh activities for a large enterprise corporation. Responsible to manage the nightly work assignments and activities, ensure the appropriate equipment is ordered for each site, help resolve any process, system and technical issues and interface with the vendor and client management teams to ensure the project timelines and goals are met.

Subject matter expert and liaison to a six member contracted branch implementation team. Responsible to ensure the end-to-end activities required to build, install and bring live the data network at new bank branches, as well as to decommission and reconfigure existing branches, are accomplished by the team according to process and quality standards. I am responsible to integrate new policies, procedures and technologies into the implementation team functions. To the same degree also responsible for the network implementation activities related to remote ATM machines. I also perform implementations on larger scale projects that are outside the scope of the implementation team, such as large scale grooming of circuits and upgrading existing branch networks. Day to day activities include directing and assisting the team members in the execution of their work, coordinating with Chase personnel on the use and operation of the network, change, and asset management tools, reviewing and approving change controls, assisting my supervisor with maintaining compliance with Chase implementation processes and policies, coordinating with the project managers, assigning IP addresses, generating the network configuration and drawing documents, ordering and shipping the hardware, working with the installation vendors to turn-up and validate the network, working and driving the circuit carriers to troubleshoot and resolve any circuit issues, and installing the devices into the asset, network and monitoring tools for proper operational support. Good communication skills are required in the day to day conversations with project managers, peer engineering teams, clients, vendors and customers. I also interview and make recommendations on the hiring of contractors to assist the team with additional project work that falls outside of the normal day to day work of the team such as security device replacements, branch refresh projects and large scale circuit migration projects.
