He designed and delivered Concordis’ programmes in Central African Republic, Cote d’Ivoire, Kenya, Mauritania and Nigeria, securing funding from the EU, the French Foreign Ministry, the Government of Liechtenstein, GIZ, TearFund, PeaceNexus and the Ferguson Trust. He managed programme delivery in each country, engaging participants and stakeholders including government and opposition groups, facilitating intercommunity dialogue and training peacebuilders.In Cote d’Ivoire, 20 years of political violence has resulted in thousands of deaths. The Ivoirian Government’s Dialogue, Truth and Reconciliation Commission sought out Concordis’ help. Concordis works in partnership with Ivoirian NGO CSCI to bring together Ivoirians from across the different factions and helps them find their own solutions to the complex barriers to peace and economic development in that country.In Mauritania, competition for land, coupled with conflict over the border in Mali, the legacy of slavery and forcible evictions from the country in the recent past, has resulted in ongoing grievances and injustices. Concordis supports local facilitators in finding mutually acceptable solutions in individual conflict sites, whilst also being involved in a wider programme of dialogue between civil society and the State over delicate development issues including rural land reform.
