Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, my job involved the following:• Producing the local month end pack (P&L, Balance Sheet, Variance Analysis)• Management of 4 people (part qualified), setting of objectives and year end appraisals• Assisted in preparing the Statutory Accounts, prepared under IFRS, in conjunction with the Financial Controller• Responsible for the mapping of local accounts into the group consolidation model and reporting this information to group • Management over all general ledger reconciliations for 8 group companies, including foreign currency ledgers (Euro, Dollar, Yen and Swiss Franc)• Preparation and analysis of the joint trading relationship management accounts• Reconciliation of inter-company balances with other group entities• Assisting in preparation of tax computations and liaising with external tax advisors • Liaising with company auditors • Aiding the annual budget & forecasting processKey skills and achievements include:• Selected as part of Project team to transfer Finance Function to new location – involved planning of handover, preparation of operational protocol documents, checking of nominal interface documents, training of staff & post handover support• Selected as part of the Business Continuity Steering Committee• Accepted into Development for Growth program. This involved participation in two business projects – Data Quality Improvement & Reducing FLUK Carbon Footprint, generating annual savings of £ 80,000
