Throughout my teaching experience, I have received training and experience across K to Year 6, which has honed my ability to establish and encourage a classroom atmosphere that is stimulating, encouraging, and adaptive to the varied needs of students. With the skills to effectively differentiate, I ensure that the needs of all pupils are consistently met, resulting in students that are successful learners, confident and creative individuals, and informed citizens of the 21st Century. My experience thus far has provided me with the opportunity to demonstrate my success in initiating and supporting improvements in teaching, learning and classroom practice. Leveraging my extensive teaching experience against the skills gained through my leadership opportunities, I ensure that all students are provided with every opportunity to succeed within their learning. On an everyday basis within my classroom, I select and use relevant teaching strategies to develop knowledge, skills, problem solving and critical and creative thinking. Applying this to my classroom, I guide students toward utilising 21st Century skills and technology in their learning, as they would in their everyday lives. By promoting an environment where students are invited to extend their capabilities in learning through a game-like style of teaching, I enhance student engagement and teach students valuable technology skills through the use of devices. Eager to take the next logical step in my career in teaching, I am confident that in any position I apply myself to I can ensure that the needs of all students are continually met. By focussing on developing my own talent, in addition to the talents of my peers, I will contribute to a sustainable environment capable of consistently delivering quality teaching and learning that provides opportunities for all students to achieve academic excellence.
