Lifeguard management/instruction, facility maintenance, programing-• Manage and act as point of contact for staff, ranging from 22-100 employees• Provide staff with skills and resources to ensure safety of facility patrons• Respond to and direct any medical emergencies that occur within the facility• Act as MOD for the facility after 5pm and weekends• Conduct all Red Cross Instructor for Commerce City Recreation Center• Keep records of all rec center Red Cross Certification• Act as lead SAI Lifeguard and CPR/BLS Instructor for the city• Created and facilitated lifeguard class that certifies up to 100 guards per year• Coordinate all aspects of Commerce City Swim Lessons Program• Wrote the Commerce City Swim Lessons Manual• Assist/plan/run monthly in-service trainings• Conduct extensive skill audit program amongst lifeguards• Ensure aquatic pump adheres to M.A.H.C and O.S.H.A standards• Maintain circulation equipment; pumps chlorinators , etc.• Consulted in the design of new outdoor water park and the aquatic area of a new rec center for Commerce City• Acted as weekend liaison for FEMA while the Commerce City Rec Center provided shelter during the Colorado floods of 2012
