Peter Munro is a partner in the Disputes + Investigations practice at Gilbert + Tobin. Peter re-joined Gilbert + Tobin in July 2020 following over four years as a litigation associate in complex disputes at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan in New York. At Quinn Emanuel, Peter represented plaintiffs and defendants in multi-billion dollar complex commercial disputes across various industries, including financial services and health care. Prior to that, Peter had practised in Australia in corporate and commercial litigation, government inquiries, and regulatory investigations and disputes, working at two of Australia’s best-regarded corporate law firms, as well as spending almost 8 years as in-house litigation counsel at a major global accounting firm. Among his career highlights, Peter has represented a Fortune 50 company in a $15 billion contract dispute in U.S. federal court, the Lehman Brothers Creditors' Committee in connection with multi-billion dollar lawsuits against Citibank and Credit Suisse in New York, and a major global accounting firm in Australia’s then largest securities class action. Peter has also represented high profile clients in connection with Royal Commissions, government inquiries, and investigations.
