Peter Murphy is a commercial lawyer with over 30 years of legal experience as a corporate and international lawyer before starting his own practice specialising in Strata, Property & Construction Law in 2005. Peter is client focused, proactive and dedicated to obtaining positive commercial resolutions wherever possible to solve client's legal issues, only resorting to litigation for strategic reasons after all other avenues have been exhausted.Peter holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of Sydney and is admitted to practice in New South Wales and the High Court of Australia as a solicitor. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators of London, and holds a Certificate of Mediation approved by the Victorian Law Institute. With over 25 years’ experience as a solicitor, barrister and consultant, practicing both in Australia, Europe and the Middle East, Peter has extensive experience in commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution.Peter was awarded a Post Graduate Diploma in Corporate Governance in 2005 and has recently been appointed as a Notary Public.He is a regular speaker and author of articles on maritime and international law and building and construction and a member of both the International Bar Association and the Inter Pacific Bar Association.
