Senior Manager, Hse - Readiness And Sustainment
Manages and leads the Health, Safety and Environment initiatives and management system for KBR's Readiness and Sustainment business unit. Extensive medical case management experience. Over 30 years of HSE and sustainability experience providing unparalleled guidance and expertise. Peter has provided HSE support to five mega-projects (contract values ranging from 1.4 to 18 billion USD) in North America and the Middle East during the last 19 years. Peter has developed astute regulatory expertise as well as negotiation skills which resulted in zero OSHA violations during the multi-year construction of a multi-billion-dollar petrochemical facility. Peter also submitted two Rapid Response Investigation reports to OSHA in 2023, both resulting in closure with no further action. Additionally, industrial hygiene, government contracts and environmental expertise significantly aided legal counsel, during protracted burn pit litigation, culminating in dismissal of multi-district litigation in Federal court as well as the US Supreme Court upholding a US Circuit Court of Appeals decision. As an ISO 9001 and 14001 Lead Auditor, Peter can lead the development, implementation, and/or update of HSE Management Systems. Proven ability to develop a Safety culture, resulting in a 37% TRIR reduction (2022 vs. 2021) and a 36% reduction (2023 vs. 2022) in recordable injuries. Implemented “Why I Work Safely” badge strategy and program to enhance Safety and implemented hand safety banners to eliminate hand injuries.In summary, fully capable of strategically leading or creating a sustainable world class HSE program due to expert qualifications navigating the complexities of the entire gamut of HSE regulations and client requirements, in the US, Canada, Europe, Japan, and throughout the Middle East. However, I am most proud of hosting and I am most proud of my role in inaugurating and hosting the first Annual Women’s Day on Diego Garcia in 2023 and other community investment activities.
