Joined a UAT project to test releases for new Spend & Save Plus current accounts on the in branch app, as well as the Internet Banking app, including the cashback payment workstream. Tested the transactions to qualify, types of debit card transactions from various sources, various qualifying periods, account conversions, automated generation of text/email messages to clients using both web & mobile devices, the monthly cashback report and the cashback reward payment generation process. I was also involved in regression testing previous versions of the account. I used WebEx to confirm and track traceability, test processing and testing progress. JIRA was used to log defects and raise requests for appropriate test data.

SIT tested the Accelerator WRAP platform project (Bravura Sonata / SonataWeb), the functionality of SIPP products and all Benefit Crystallisation Events, for valuations/calculations for drawdown, lump sums, death benefits, age 75 calcs & protections. I SIT tested payments and PAYE calculations as well as the FPS reporting. I tested changes to Initial/Ongoing Advice Charges postings for advisers. I also tested patch releases for production issues. I designed full E2E regression tests of SIPP accounts from Front Office user transaction initiation through to downstream Back Office BAU. Finally, I was tasked with knowledge transfer to a team of both on and off-shore Cognizant testers to facilitate their taking over of the testing going forward. I produced test conditions/suites/scripts using TFS / MTM / JIRA test tools.

I led a team of UAT testers on the successful roll out of an automated reconciliation application (AutoRek) as part of FCA’s regs, which included the testing of automated / manual data feeds from a variety of sources. My tasks included the tracking of testing progress across team, triaging issues / queries raised in TFS with SMEs & reporting daily via agile meetings / progress feedback to management team.

Final project was a .net migration for IPSI's new client Swiss Life International. I tested the ETL process, on a pilot basis 1st, then on all policies, products, clients, agents, etc. I confirmed allowed source data was suitably cleaned up for the extraction, the required data changes added for the new platform and finally it was correctly loaded for a daily batch to work. Also tested the obfuscation process for all personal identifiable data, for Luxembourg regs. In addition, I also helped with the testing of build functionality including Change Requests from the client re Surrenders, Fund Level Fees, Client Maintenance, NB processing, Control Record Configuration, General Ledger Postings, Agent Commission & Fees, Withholding Tax Calculations for the different EU jurisdictions depending on investor tax residency.I worked on a project to introduce an investment protection rider for IPSI’s main client, AXA MPS. We SIT tested code changes to enable clients to select an investment strategy add-on for investment products. This involved making input files to load investment performance and product scenarios, outputs for AXA’s other stakeholders, with their inputs loaded back into the Mainframe system to updates and create warnings or investment changes. Scripts were in Excel and written based on my analysis of the business and functional requirements. I was involved with estimation of testing as well as conducting face to face meetings with the stake holders including the Italian client co. We used JIRA for defect tracking and script management. 1st IPSI project was testing the migration of an existing client (Darta) from mainframe onto a SQL server db with a .Net front end. I had to use IBM utility functionality to interrogate the mainframe data which was replaced using SQL Server 2008 R2 on the new db.

Bi monthly Change Request releases for issues/improvements raised by Business/IT (CR’s included changes in text on document outputs, testing of triggers for various investment strategy scenarios dependent on type of plan, term, type of investment & tax treatment through to testing of various bespoke user interfaces for the various brokers and tied agent sales forces.) Tested new product launches for Quinn/AIB including all areas of functionality i.e. new business processing, commission setup, documentation. Liaised with and researched developers’ basic functional specs/unit tests to draw up agile style test schedules/cases as well as formulating plans using multiple db environments. Created test data for end-to-end testing & manipulated production data to engineer scenarios needed.

Responsible for testing the production of compliant new business/commutation illustrations using various fund/equity/cash combinations for wrap products (ISA’s / SIPPs) via generation of csv & xml files.

Responsible for testing the new Phoenix front office derivatives trading & credit management platform by formulating, reviewing, amending and executing test scripts, configuring the platform to produce various credit limit used reports for traders and credit officers. Responsible for generating test data for excesses for various products / counterparty types including testing of functionality processes for the override / reporting of excesses using TD, and latterly JIRA. Also responsible for helping to maintain the planning of the various UAT testing phases and provide support and reporting for meetings.

Based in Luxembourg I helped deliver a Basel II project to the RBC and Dexia Group joint venture which involved testing of data flows, data quality and the User Interface for the counterparty db feeding the Fermat Calculation Tool (Oracle db). Carried out UAT testing to demonstrate inputs matched requirement documents. Writing and executing test requirements and scripts, in MQC, based on requirements gathered. Role involved formulating Test Plan documents, creating test data and reporting the test results after analysis of the data via Business Objects, Toad and Excel.
