Managed the I.T Department and College I.T infrastructure including 400PC’s, student BYOD programme, Google, AWS, Office 365 and other cloud services,Android and IOS devices, the Standard Operating Environment, documentation ofprocesses and technical matters, Internal Fibre Optic and Cisco wireless networks, LANand internet servers (Linux and Windows), Cisco PABX system, networked copiers andprinters, external and internal web sites, Dell, Cisco server management, SQL andMySQL Database servers, staff and student training and the student administration system.

Provided level 2 support for DB2 on the Solaris, AIX, Linux and Windows platformsincluding assisting customers with troubleshooting both high and low severity problems,including down-system issues. Tasks also included assisting customer DBA’s withgeneral database engine issues and instance management, escalating defects to level 3support in Canada and following the defects through to completion with the softwaredevelopment team.

Provided support for the Peoplesoft customer’s web site infrastructure including thedatabase, Application server and web server components. Tasks also included supportingthe Peoplesoft Java servlets within the BEA Weblogic 6.1 and IBM Websphere 4.0application servers, escalating defects to level 3 support in the U.S.A.

Provided follow the sun enterprise support for Vignette customers web site infrastructure, including the database, Application server, web server and content delivery server components. Supported a wide range of applications on Windows, Solaris and AIX Also worked with SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase, DB2, IPlanet web servers, IIS, Apache web servers, Websphere, Weblogic and Tomcat Servlet engines.

Installed, supported, tested and maintained the Sydney test lab environment for sportingapplications and information systems including Windows NT and OS/2 file, print andSQL servers.Installed and supported event systems at live test events including Penrith Lakes, BassHill Velodrome, Homebush, Blacktown and Hoxton Park.

Managed OS/2 LAN servers in domains Australia wide. Tasks includedmanaging backup and restores, disk quotas, resource security and print queues,ongoing monitoring of the LAN servers including daily checks and the upgrading ofsoftware.
